UPRG meet with church heads for discussions
Members of the Ulster Political Research Group, the political wing of the UDA, have met with the Presbyterian Moderator Dr Donald Patton and other senior church representatives in Belfast.
The meeting, which lasted 90 minutes, was at the request of the UPRG and was held at Church House. The discussions focused on the area of a “shared future”.
The Moderator said afterwards: “This meeting was part of our ongoing commitment to meet a wide variety of groups and representatives of civic and political society to see how we can encourage and help one another in building a better and shared future.”
Last Friday the UPRG made headlines by meeting Catholic Primate Cardinal Sean Brady and other Catholic clergy in Armagh.
