Ancora spari contro stazione di polizia in South Armagh

Shots fired at Armagh police station

Police in Northern Ireland have begun an investigation after shots were fired at a police station in south Armagh.

The PSNI said a number of shots were fired at the building in Bessbrook just after 9pm after a car pulled up outside the gates.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The vehicle sped off in the direction of Convent Hill.

Last week, shots were fired at the police station at Crossmaglen.

SDLP Newry and Armagh MLA Dominic Bradley condemned those responsible for tonight’s attack.

He said: ‘Like the shooting at Crossmaglen last week this looks like a bit of low-risk action by the would-be heroes of dissident republicanism designed to drive a wedge between our policing service and the community they serve, but it will not work.’
