Arson attack on minister’s home
The County Armagh home of Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy has been attacked by arsonists.
Two cars were destroyed in the incident in the Church Road area of Camlough at about 0100 BST on Thursday.
Sinn Fein said paint was also thrown at the house and there was scorch damage to windows.
Mr Murphy said: “This was a cowardly attack. While there was damage to two cars and a risk the house would be set alight, thankfully no one was injured.”
The Newry and Armagh MP said he would not be deflected from representing local people.
The police said they were treating the incident as malicious and have appealed for witnesses.
