House collapse and 95 bonfire call-outs
Fire crews have dealt with 95 call-outs connected to Eleventh Night bonfires – as well as a partial building collapse in south Belfast.
The total number of calls marks a 50% decrease on last year’s total.
They were received between 6pm and 1am.
No attacks on firefighters have been reported.
Crews also attended a major overnight blaze in the Holyland area. It caused a house at Magdala Street to partially collapse.
Seven engines and a specialist rescue team attended.
A statement from the Fire Service said: “At present NIFRS are unable to confirm if persons are involved in the fire.
“Crews from NIFRS continue to work tirelessly across NI to protect our community, and their property, in a very challenging and demanding operational environment.”
