Creggan, Derry: PSNI attaccata durante raid
PSNI attacked over RAAD raid
Police have come under attack in the Creggan area of Derry on Friday afternoon while carrying out a raid on a house in relation to paramilitary attacks.
Petrol bombs and stones were thrown at officers during the pro-active search.
A number of items – believed to be used by vigilante group RAAD – have been seized for specialist examination.
The items include a quantity of suspected firearms, believed to be similar to weapons used in attacks in the city.
A 56-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
A police spokesperson said the area was now calm.
