Derry: i residenti fanno trovare deposito di molotov

Locals help police find petrol bomb haul

Jon Burrows | PSNIThe PSNI in Londonderry have vowed to leave no stone unturned in their efforts to catch and prosecute those behind a cache of petrol bombs discovered in the Bogside on the Twelfth of July.

Following up on information given to the police by people in the Bogside, the petrol bombs were found by the PSNI and Inspector Jon Burrows paid tribute to the residents.

He told the North West Telegraph the fantastic response they have had from people in the area helped their efforts tremendously.

He added: “Last year we published photographs of 70 people that were suspected of public order offences, and with the help of the people from the Bogside and the Fountain, we were able to identify every single one of them.

“We have just released pictures of 50 people from CCTV suspected of the same offences this year and are confident that we will have the same level of success.

He added: “We know people in the areas are concerned about potential trouble in the run up to the Apprentice Boys Parade in August but we will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to prevent a repeat of the scene we had here on July 12.”
