Maghaberry: nuove procedure di perquisizione bloccano visite legali
Legal visits affected by new search procedure
At least one prisoner was refused a legal visit yesterday after he refused to open his mouth as demanded by the search team. Harry Fitzsimons failed to get to see his solicitor for rightly refusing to open his mouth.
The facilitators were in the jail on Sunday which probably explained why prisoners received visits without the requirement of an oral search. After receiving their visits on Sunday it was hoped that this new procedure had been done away with. However, this recent incident shows how cynical the Prison Service are.
By reintroducing this oral search the NIPS have once again insured that there will be continuing conflict within the prison.
We all need to show our support for these men. Attend the protest at Maghaberry on Sunday 19th December. Assemble at the visitors carpark at 3.30 pm.
