Non doloso incendio al Boucher Crescent Retail Park
Boucher blaze ‘not suspicious’
The major fire, which broke out at the Boucher Road retail park in Belfast earlier this week, is no longer being treated as suspicious.
A Poundstretcher store was gutted and several other units were damaged by the blaze, which started in the early hours of Tuesday.
The scene was examined by police, fire crews and forensics on Friday morning.
They say the exact cause of the fire has not yet been established, but arson has been ruled out.
More than 80 firefighters worked through the morning to bring the fire under control. No-one was injured.
Jobs at the eight retail units affected are said to be at risk, with store owners describing the incident as “bad news” in the lead-up to Christmas.
