North Belfast: Republican Network for Unity toglie droga dalle strade

North Belfast RNU safely dispose of dangerous drugs

Republican Network for Unity
During the past weekend, activists from Republican Network for Unity removed a consignment of potentially deadly drugs from the streets of North Belfast. On Saturday evening RNU activists witnessed a well-known drug dealer receive a suspicious package from a motorist in the Ardoyne area.

They immediately challenged the dealer, and as he fled, he threw a large package onto the footpath. The motorist who handed over the package also sped away. RNU activists quickly recovered the package and discovered that it contained hundreds of tablets including blue and yellow ecstasy pills. In the past these drugs have been known to contain deadly substances that have killed a number of young people across the City.

RNU ensured the safety of local children and the wider community by handing over the consignment of drugs to Fr. Magill from the Sacred Heart Church, who assured us the package would be safely disposed of. Republican Network for Unity would like to thank the activists who removed the drugs from our streets and Fr. Magill for his diligence and help in disposing these potentially deadly tablets.

The very fact that political activists and a community Priest can seize and destroy vast amounts of dangerous drugs proves just how incapable the RUC/PSNI are of tackling the growing drugs culture in working-class communities.

RNU encourage all concerned residents to join with us and help take back our communities from the thugs who wish to destroy the very fabric of once proud neighbourhoods by peddling their poison to our people.
