Omicidio Kerr: arrestato un uomo in Scozia
Man arrested over Kerr murder
Police investigating the murder of PSNI officer Ronan Kerr have arrested a man in Scotland.
The suspect, aged 26, was detained in Renton, Dunbartonshire, by Strathclyde Police at approximately 1.10pm on Wednesday.
“This arrest was made by Strathclyde Police officers in relation to an ongoing investigation led by the Police Service of Northern Ireland,” Strathclyde Police said.
PSNI detectives investigating the car bomb attack in Omagh on Saturday have also recovered four Kalashnikov rifles, semtex and car bombs primed for detonation. The find was made in the Coalisland area.
Officers have described the raid as the “most significant in recent years”.
The developments come as hundreds of mourners attended PC Kerr’s funeral in Beragh on Wednesday.
