Ordigni e molotov contro la polizia a Craigavon
Bombs thrown at police officers in Craigavon
A number of small bombs and a petrol bomb have been thrown at police in Craigavon.
Officers were conducting enquiries in the Meadowbrook area of the town at about 1235 BST when they were attacked.
A number of golf balls were also thrown. No-one was injured.
Police have said those responsible showed “callous disregard” for the safety of the local community and police officers.
Area Commander Chief Inspector Anthony McNally said: “A number of members of the public were in the area at the time of the attack.
“It is fortunate that no one, police or civilian, was injured.”
The attack has also been condemned by UUP Upper Bann MLA Jo-Anne Dobson who said it targeted the law-abiding community.
“It is disgraceful that PSNI officers are unable to carry out their duty without coming under attack from small minded thugs,” she added.
