Willie Frazer to be released on Friday
Willie Frazer will be temporarily released from prison on Friday to attend a hospital appointment.
The victims campaigner and Ulster People’s Forum member is currently in prison on charges of encouraging and assisting offences in relation to recent flag protests. He faces other charges, including possession of a Tazer.
He was refused bail last week due to the risk of committing further offences, but has been granted temporary compassionate release to attend a hospital appointment in relation to ongoing cancer treatment and must be back in prison by 4pm on Friday.
Mr Frazer has been banned from speaking to the media, entering Belfast and using social media during his release.
