Baggott criticato per mancate scuse ai parenti vittime della bomba al McGurk’s Bar
Dopo il rapporto del Police Ombudsman, il Chief Constable nordirlandese ha solo espresso “vicinanza” alle famiglie delle vittime
Un uomo che ha perso alcuni parenti nell’attentato al McGurk’s Bar del 1971 ha criticato il comandante della polizia nordirlandese per non aver porto le proprie scuse per la conduzione dell’originaria indagine della RUC.
Lunedì il Police Ombudsman ha pubblicato un rapporto sull’attacco, dove affermava che l’indagine eseguita subito dopo lo scoppio era piena di “pregiudizi”.
Il Chief Constable Matt Baggott ha detto di ritenere esaurite tutte le linee di indagine sull’attentato.
Chris McGurk pensa che la risposta proveniente dal capo della PSNI sia totalmente inaccettabile.
McGurk’s bomb ombudsman report: Baggott criticised
A man who lost several relatives in the 1971 McGurk’s bar bombing has hit out at the chief constable for failing to apologise for the RUC investigation.
On Monday, the Police Ombudsman published a report into the attack claiming the original police investigation was “biased”.
Afterwards, PSNI chief Matt Baggott said he believed all lines of enquiry had now been exhausted.
Chris McGurk said Mr Baggott’s response was unacceptable.
