Bottiglie molotov e mattoni sono stati lanciati contro la PSNI nel Bogside, mentre gli scontri avvenivano anche in altre parti della città compresi Gobnascale e Ardmore.
Tra gli arrestati anche un quattordicenne.
Mark Durkan, parlamentare a Westminster per lo SDLP, parla di violenza “senza senso”.
“Questa attività è completamente stupida e senza senso.
“Faccio appello a chi è coinvolto in questo genere di comportamento di fermarsi imediatamente e dico anche ai giovani non direttamente coinvolti nei disordini, ma che si presentano per curiosità, di non dare ai facinorosi un pubblico o incoraggiamenti”, afferma il politico.

Thirteen arrested after night of Derry violence
Petrol bombs and bricks were thrown at the PSNI in the Bogside while trouble flared in other parts of the city including Gobnascale and Ardmore.
A 14-year-old boy was among those arrested.
Foyle MP Mark Durkan branded the violence “senseless.”
“This activity is utterly mindless and senseless.
“I appeal to those involved in this behaviour to stop it immediately and also to the many young people not directly involved in the rioting, but who come along out of curiosity, not to give these rioters an audience or encouragement,” he said.
