Today is Marian Prices birthday.
Did she spend it at home with her husband and children and wider family circle?
Did she have a cake with candles?
Was she able to open up presents?
The answer to all of those questions is NO.
Today Marian Price spent another birthday in prison where prison rules apply. It may be in a hospital but prison it still is, with two armed guards at her door allowing her husband and children in on “A Visit” with some birthday cards.
What do you write on that birthday card?

It is a very sad day in a very sad place to have a birthday. Last Sunday she was allowed out for 3 miserable hours to say goodbye to her dear sister Dolours. Future birthdays for the rest of her life will be tinged with sadness because Dolours passed so close to it.

We held a quiet respectful protest handing out leaflets outside the GAA Club at Casement Park in West Belfast, at the Antrim/Cavan Match.
