L’incontro doveva svolgersi alle 19 ma era stato anticipato nel tentativo di evitare la presenza di contestatori. I repubblicani erano già pronti a tale eventualità. Infatti, tra 60 e 70 repubblicani hanno eluso l’anello di controllo della PSNI, posizionato intorno a Guildhall Square e Foyle Street.
I contestatori sono entrati nella sala e hanno sfidato i politici locali su come possono accogliere questa forza di polizia che in tempi recenti ha aver condotto una campagna concertata di molestie e intimidazioni contro le famiglie dei repubblicani, la forza di polizia che nelle incursioni in casa hanno deliberatamente fatto a pezzi i giocattoli per i bambini che le madri avevano messo da parte per Natale.
Ex repubblicani hanno riso e sghignazzato quando sono state mosse le accuse ed uno particolarmente irriverente cantava e rideva quando veniva contestato. Questi incontri sono una fabbrica di chiacchiere che servono a mostrare una specie di normalizzazione, mentre i 2 membri della PSNI, che presiedevano la riunione, in passato avevano prontamente ammesso di non avere alcun controllo sulle unità sovversive della PSNI e sulle unità sotto copertura dell’esercito britannico che sono diventate determinanti sia nel prendere di mira i repubblicani che partecipare ai raid nelle abitazioni.
I repubblicani continueranno ad esporre il mito della PSNI inaccettabile irriformabile e queste fabbriche di chiacchiere usate come schermo per le loro continue molestie contro i bambini e le famiglie dei repubblicani.

Local Republicans force abandonment of D.P.P in the Guildhall
The meeting which had been due to take place at 7pm had been changed to an earlier time in an attempt to outflank protestors but the local Republicans had readied themselves for such an eventuality as around 60 to 70 made their way through the RUC ring of steel which had been put into place around Guildhall square and Foyle street.
The Protestors made their way into the venue and challenged local politicians as to how they could cosy up to this force who in recent times seem to have carried out a concerted campaign of harassment & intimidation on the families of Republicans,the force who in house raids have deliberately ripped apart kids toys which the mothers had put away for the children at christmas .
Former Republicans laughed & guffawed as the challenges were put to them and one flippantly sang and laughed as he was challenged .These meetings are a talking shop to portray normalisation whilst the 2 members of the RUC who chaired the meeting have in the past readily admitted that they have no control over subversive RUC units and the undercover British army units who have become more predominant in both targetting Republicans and involving themselves in House raids.
Republicans will continue to expose the myth of the unacceptable unreformable RUC and the talking shops they use as a foil for their continued targetting of children and families of Republicans.
