E’ stato rivelato che 38 persone sono state arrestate in connessione con i gravi disordini nella zona di Ardoyne avvenuti dopo le parate del 12 luglio
Il presidente del Board, Brian Rea, ha detto che i membri hanno sostenuto “all’unanimità” l’operazione di polizia.
“Avendo interrogato il comandante della polizia sull’operazione messa in atto per affrontare i gravi disordini, i membri del Board hanno appoggiato all’unanimità le tattiche utilizzate dalla polizia”, ha detto Rea.
“I membri sono anche preoccupati che bambini di soli otto anni sono stati coinvolti nei disordini di Ardoyne e appoggiano pienamente le misure della PSNI, insieme a quelle dei Servizi Sociali, per i piani di contrastare il problema”, ha aggiunto.
Durante i gravi disordini del 12 luglio, la polizia fu attaccata con bottiglie incendiarie durante molte ore di riot, per i quali sono stati accusati i repubblicani.

38 arrested over Ardoyne rioting
It has been revealed that 38 people have been arrested in connection with the serious rioting in the Ardoyne area on the Twelfth.
Acting Chairman of the Board, Brian Rea, said Board members had ‘unanimously’ supported the police operation on the night.
“Having questioned the Chief Constable on the police operation put in place to deal with the serious disorder, Board Members were unanimous in their support of the tactics the police used,” Mr Rea said.
“Members are also concerned that children as young as eight were involved in the rioting in Ardoyne and are fully supportive of measures the PSNI, alongside Social Services, plan to put in place to tackle this serious problem,” he added.
During the serious disorder on 12 July, police were attacked with blast bombs and petrol bombs during several hours of rioting, which was blamed on dissident republicans.
