Aggiornato il caso di estradizione contro Liam Adams

Liam Adams, fratello del presidente dello Sinn Fein Gerry Adams, a visto aggiornato il procedimento di estradizione al mese prossimo.

E’ ricercato in Irlanda del Nord per un presunto caso di abuso sessuale nei confronti della figlia.

Adams, di Bernagh Avenue a Belfast, dovrebbe essere accusato di multiple accuse di violenza sessuale, aggressione indecente e altri reati compiuti nei confronti di Aine Tyrrell, che rinunciò all’anonimato e denunciò pubblicamente il padre.

Adams respinge tutte le accuse e sta contrastando la richiesta di estradizione.

Il giudice John Edwards ha rilasciato nuovamente Adams su cauzione fino al prossimo 4 maggio, dopo un colloqui con il rappresentante dell’accusa, Remy Farrell, che ha acconsentito ad un ulteriore aggiornamento a nome dello Stato.

Liam Adams case adjourned

Liam Adams, the brother of Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams, has had extradition proceedings against him adjourned for a month.

He is wanted in the North on alleged sex abuse charges against his daughter.

Mr Adams, of Bernagh Avenue in Belfast, is being sought on charges of multiple counts of rape, indecent assault and gross indecency against Aine Tyrell, who has waived her right to anonymity.

Mr Adams denies all the charges and is contesting the request for his surrender.

Mr Justice John Edwards remanded Mr Adams on continuing bail until May 4th next, after counsel for the prosecution Mr Remy Farrell BL, said the State consented to a further adjournment.
