Allarmi sicurezza ad Antrim: trovate cinque pipe bomb

Cinque pipe bomb sono state trovate in due differenti allarmi sicurezza nella Contea di Antrim

La polizia ha confermato il ritrovamento da parte degli artificieri dell’esercito di due pipe bomb attive in Fairview Parade a Newtownabbey.

Venti case sono state evacuate durante l’allarme, ma i residenti sono rientrati dopo i ritrovamenti.

Intanto, tre pipe bomb sono state recuperate in Donegore Drive ad Antrim.

Un altro oggetto era stato analizzato vicino al GAA Club di Dunsilly Road, sempre ad Antrim. Si trattava di un tubo contenente un fuoco d’artificio.

La polizia ha anche compiuto delle ricerche a Cullnafeigh Green e Massereene Gardens dopo la denuncia che alcuni ordigni potevano essere stati lasciati nella zona. Tuttavia, non è stato trovato nulla di sospetto.

Antrim alerts: police say five pipe bombs found

Five pipe bombs have been found during two separate security alerts in County Antrim.

Police have confirmed that two viable pipe bombs were found by Army bomb experts at Fairview Parade in Newtownabbey.

Twenty homes were evacuated during the alert, but police said residents are now able to return.

Meanwhile, three pipe bombs were found during a security alert in Donegore Drive in Antrim.

Another object was examined near a GAA club on Dunsilly Road in the town. It was found to be a piece of tubing containing a firework.

Police in Antrim also carried out searches at Cullnafeigh Green and Massereene Gardens following reports devices may have been left in the area. However, nothing suspicious was found.
