“Altamente probabile” un attacco contro Gerry Adams

Lo Sinn Fein ha riferito che un attacco contro il suo leader Gerry Adams è “una forte possibilità”

Il ministro per la Sicurezza Paul Goggins ha detto ad Adams che un “aggiornamento della valutazione” indica che il livello di minaccia contro di lui è “sostanziale”.

Riferisce Adams: “I responsabili di queste minacce non hanno nulla da offrire alla popolazione d’Irlanda.

“Non hanno strategie o programmi politici e vogliono rimandare l’orologio al tempo del conflitto”.

Ha concluso che né lui né la dirigenza dello Sinn Fein si faranno intimidire o spaventare.

Gerry Adams attack ‘strong possibility’

Sinn Fein has said its leader Gerry Adams has been told that an attack against him is “a strong possibility”.

It said Mr Adams was told by Security Minister Paul Goggins that an “up to date assessment” indicated the threat level against him was “substantial”.

Mr Adams said: “Those responsible for these threats have nothing to offer the people of Ireland.

“They have no strategies or political programmes and want to turn the clock back to conflict.”

He said that neither he, nor the Sinn Fein leadership, would be intimidated or frightened.
