Anche due ex UDR minacciati da RIRA

Anche due ex appartenenti all’Ulster Defence Regiment sono stati avvisati di una minaccia contro le loro vite pronunciata dalla Real IRA, secondo quanto riportato da un parlamentare del DUP.

Ian McCrea ha detto che a due ex soldati del controverso reggimento dell’esercito inglese è stato riferito che il gruppo dissidente repubblicano sta progettando di assassinarli.

Anche il padre di Ian – il parlamentare Willie McCrea – è stato avvertito di un’analoga minaccia nei suoi confronti.

Adesso sta chiedendo una dura risposta delle forze di sicurezza alle minacce.

Two former UDR men under threat from RIRA

Two former members of the British Army’s Ulster Defence Regiment have been warned about a threat to their lives from the Real IRA, according to a local DUP Assembly member.

Ian McCrea says two former members of the controversial regiment have been told that the dissident republican group is plotting to kill them.

Mr McCrea’s father – South Antrim MP Willie McCrea – was also warned last week of a threat to his life from dissidents.

He is now calling for a hard-hitting security response to the threats.
