Ancient Order of Hibernians in America: chiesto il rilascio di Marian Price

Considerando che Marian Price è imprigionata da oltre un anno senza un processo, una condanna o una sentenza ma solo sulla base di prove segrete che né lei né i suoi avvocati sono stati autorizzati a visionare.

Considerando che due giudici hanno ordinato il suo rilascio con la condizionale e le loro decisioni sono state annullate dal Segretario di Stato per l’Irlanda del Nord, un ministro del governo britannico, che ha ordinato l’incarcerazione della repubblicana.

Considerando la grande preoccupazione per la salute di Marian Price, con il personale medico carcerario e altri specialisti che affermano come la donna dovrebbe essere in ospedale o a casa con la sua famiglia.

Considerando che è stata trasferita in un’unità ospedaliera protetta contro il parere dello specialista che l’aveva in cura.

Considerando che lo Sinn Fein, il Social Democratic and Labour Party, l’Irish Congress of Trade Unions, la Brehon Law Society, British/Irish Rights Watch e il Comitato per l’Amministrazione della Giustizia (Committee for the Administration of Justice – CAJ) hanno tutti dicharato che Marian Price dovrebbe essere rilasciata.

Considerando che il presidente nazionale Seamus Boyle e il vice presidente nazionale Brendan Moore hanno preso una posizione ufficiale sul caso Marian Price affermando che “l’Ancient Order of Hibernians in America ritiene che l’incarcerazione senza accuse di Marian Price è un ritorno al tempo in cui le forze di sicurezza britanniche internavano i repubblicani irlandesi per un capriccio e senza prove”.

Quindi deliberiamo che l’Ancient Order of Hibernians chiede l’immediato rilascio di questa donna seriamente malata affinché sia restituita alla sua famiglia e ai suoi medici.

ANCIENT ORDER OF HIBERNIANS IN AMERICA RESOLUTION FOR MARIAN PRICE

WHEREAS Marian Price has been imprisoned for more than a year without a trial, conviction or sentence on the basis of secret evidence neither she nor her attorneys have been allowed to see.

WHEREAS – Two judges have ordered her release on bail only to be overruled by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, a British Cabinet Minister, who ordered her imprisoned.

WHEREAS – There is grave concern for Marian Price’s health with prison medical staff and specialists stating that she should be in a hospital or at home with her family.

WHEREAS – She has been moved to a secure hospital unit against the advice of the specialist who was treating her.

WHEREAS – Sinn Fein, the Social Democratic and Labor Party, the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, Brehon Law Society, British/Irish Rights Watch, and the Committee for the Administration of Justice have all stated that that she should be released.

WHEREAS – National President Seamus Boyle and National Vice President Brendan Moore have issued an Official stance on the Marian Price case stating in part “the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America believes that the incarceration without charges of Marian Price is a return to the discredited time when British Security Forces would intern Irish Republicans on a whim and with no evidence.”

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED – that the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America asks that this seriously ill woman be released immediately to her physicians and her family.
