L’ordigno incendiario, contenente una pipe bomb e due litri di liquido infiammabile, è stato trovato in una casa di Glenvarnagh Drive, Ballyhenry, mercoledì pomeriggio.
Alcune case nella zona sono state evacuate , mentre gli esperti artificieri dell’esercito hanno messo in sicurezza l’ordigno. Due passamontagna sono stati rinvenuti anche nel bagno di casa, vicino a una scuola elementare locale .
Shoukri, espulso come “brigadiere” UDA’ diversi anni fa, è uscito recentemente dal carcere dove stava scontando una condanna per estorsione e ricatto.
Il lealista sarebbe stato visto nella zona Ballyhenry nelle ultime settimane.
Andre Shoukri may have been blast bomb target
The incendiary containing a pipe-bomb and two litres of flammable liquid was found at a house in Glenvarnagh Drive, Ballyhenry, yesterday afternoon.
A number of other houses had to be evacuated while Army bomb experts made the device safe. Two balaclavas were also found in the bathroom of the house, which is close to a local primary school.
Shoukri, who was expelled as UDA ‘brigadier’ several years ago, was recently released from prison where he was serving a sentence for extortion and blackmail.
It is understood he has been seen in the Ballyhenry area in recent weeks.
