La candidata del BNP per le elezioni Stormont sarà l’ex politica del TUV

Ann Cooper sarà candidata a East Belfast. A maggio dello scorso anno si era presentata come candidata per il Traditional Unionist Voice nelle elezioni suppletive di Castlereagh. In seguito ha lasciato il partito di Jim Allister.

Si è attirata numerose critiche per aver fornito sostegno a sette lavoratori della Customs and Revenue, licenziati per aver deliberatamente sottopagato delle minoranze etniche.

Scrivendo su Twitter, la Cooper disse che il personale licenziato si sarebbe meritato una medaglia.

A BNP candidate in the assembly elections is a former member of the Traditional Unionist Voice.

Ann Cooper, who is standing in East Belfast, previously stood for the TUV in last May’s Castlereagh by-election. She left the TUV soon after.

She later drew criticism by voicing support for seven Customs and Revenue workers, sacked for deliberately underpaying ethnic minorities.

Tweeting on the case, Ms Cooper said the sacked employees deserved a medal.
