E’ stata approvata una serie di incontri tra lo Sinn Fein e un gruppo lealista nel tentativo di risolvere i problemi che circondano la parata del 12 Luglio ad Ardoyne
L’incontro ha seguito quelli tenuti ad agosto presto la City Hall, che sono stati compiuti dopo tre giorni di disordini scoppiati nel periodo del 12 Luglio nel flashpoint di North Belfast.
Lunedì, dopo l’incontro, Adams ha fatto sapere che un calendario di incontri sono stati predisposti nel periodo antecedente la stagione delle marce 2011.
“Gli incontri non dovrebbero finire fino al culmine della stagione delle marce”, ha riferito a Utv.
“E’ un bene che ci si riunisca in inverno e che ci incontreremo ancora tra oggi e Pasqua, sperando di fare qualche progresso.
“In agosto lo Sinn Féin ed il Forum si sono riuniti per discutere le questioni sulle parate, ed è stato un impegno importante.
“L’incontro di oggi è stato il seguito di quel colloquio ed è stato un dibattito franco e onesto. Ci sono problemi difficili ma lo Sinn Fein ritiene che con il dialogo ed un impegno autentico una risoluzione può essere trovata”.

Schedule agreed for Ardoyne parade talks
A timetable has been agreed for talks between Sinn Féin and a loyalist parades group in a bid to resolve issues surrounding a contentious Twelfth of July march through Ardoyne.
The meeting followed talks held at City Hall in August, which were prompted after three days of rioting at the north Belfast flashpoint during the Twelfth period.
Speaking on Monday, Mr Adams said a schedule of discussions have now been arranged in the build up to the 2011 marching season.
“This should not be left until the cusp of the marching season,” he told UTV.
“It is good that we’re meeting in the winter and that we will meet between now and Easter and hopefully make some progress.
“In August Sinn Féin and the Forum met to discuss parading issues, and that was an important engagement.
“Today’s meeting was a follow up to that conversation and was a candid and honest discussion. There are difficult issues involved but Sinn Féin believes that with dialogue and a genuine commitment a resolution can be found.”
