Armi e droga ritrovate in una casa di Derry

Tre pistole e due granate, insieme ad altri oggetti, sono state recuperate in un’abitazione di Derry

Anche munizioni, un dispositivo elettrico di stordimento e una bomboletta di gas CS sono stati trovati nella casa di Hawkin Street, insieme a droghe per un valore stimato di 25mila euro circa.

Una notevole quantità di denaro è stata sequestrata da una casa in Queen’s Court.

Un uomo di 28 arrestato in Hawkin Street è ancora interrogato dagli inquirenti. Un altro fermato, di 35 anni, fermato nella perquisizione in Queen’s Court, è stato rilasciato con la condizionale.

Gli investigatori della sezione Criminalità Organizzata hanno preso parte alle perquisizioni.

Gli artificieri dell’esercito sono intervenuti in Hawkin Street e le abitazioni nella zona sono state evacuate per un breve lasso di tempo.

Weapons found at house in Hawkin Street, Derry

Three guns and two grenades were among a number of items seized from a house in Londonderry on Thursday.

Ammunition, an electric stun device and a CS gas canister were also found at the house in Hawkin Street along with drugs with an estimated street value of £20,000.

A four-figure amount of cash was seized from a house at Queen’s Court.

A 28-year-old man arrested at Hawkin Street is still being questioned. A 35-year-old man was released on bail.

He was arrested at Queen’s Court.

Detectives from the police organised crime branch took part in the searches.

Army bomb disposal experts were called to the Hawkin Street find and houses in the area were evacuated for a time.
