Arresto a Bellaghy per attacco a Massereene Barracks

Un uomo è stato arrestando dalla polizia che indaga sull’attacco della Real IRA che costò la vita di due soldati presso una caserma dell’esercito ad Antrim

L’uomo, 37 anni, è trattenuto a Bellaghy, secondo quanto riferito da un portavoce della polizia.

Viene interrogato per la morte dei genieri Patrick Azimkar e Mark Quinsey, colpiti davanti al cancello di Massereene Barracks ad Antrim. L’attacco della Real IRA fu eseguito il 7 marzo 2009.

La scorsa settimana, un altro uomo arrestato a Belfast, in relazione allo stesso incidente, venne rilasciato senza alcuna accusa.

Arrest over soldier murders

A MAN has been arrested by police investigating the Real IRA murders of two soldiers at an Antrim Army base.

The 37-year-old male was detained in Bellaghy on Wednesday, according to a police spokesperson.

He is being questioned about the murders of Sappers Patrick Azimkar and Mark Quinsey who were gunned down at the gates of Massereene Barracks in Antrim in March.

He is also being questioned about the attempted murder of five people in the same gun attack.

Last week, a 47-year-old who was arrested in Belfast in relation to the same incident was released without charge.
