Arresto per la bomba di East Belfast

La polizia ha arrestato un uomo nel corso delle indagini per l’attacco di venerdì scorso a East Belfast

Un ordigno è esploso davanti alla porta di ingresso dell’abitazione del lealista Stephen Matthews a Invernook Drive, nella serata di venerdì.

Nessuno è rimasto ferito dallo scoppio, ma la casa ha subito alcuni danni.

Giovedì la polizia ha arrestato un quarantunenne.

Attualmente l’uomo è trattenuto presso la Serious Crime Suite della stazione di polizia di Antrim.

Il fermo fa parte dell’indagine svolta dal Serious Crime Branch della PSNI sulle attività terroristiche nella zona.

Arrest in east Belfast bomb probe

Police investigating an explosion at a house in east Belfast have arrested a man.

A device detonated outside the front door of a home in Invernook Drive last Friday night.

No-one was injured in the blast but the property was damaged.

A 41-year-old man was detained by police on Thursday.

He is being questioned at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

The arrest comes as part of a PSNI Serious Crime Branch investigation into terrorist activity in the area.

Anyone with further information has been asked to come forward.
