Arresto per omicidio Carroll

Gli investigatori dell’omicidio di un agente di polizia ad opera dei repubblicani hanno arrestato un uomo a Newtownabbey, Contea di Antrim

Stephen Carroll, 48 anni, venne colpito a morte dal gruppo repubblicano Continuity IRA a marzo di quest’anno, mentre interveniva per una chiamata di aiuto presso un quartiere di Craigavon.

Il sospettato, 22 anni, è stato trasferito presso la Serious Crime Suite nella stazione di polizia di Antrim, giovedì mattina, per essere interrogato.

Tre persone sono già state accusate in collegamento con l’omicidio.

Man arrested over police murder

Detectives investigating the murder of a police officer by dissident republicans have arrested a man in Newtownabbey, county Antrim.

48-year-old Constable Stephen Carroll was killed by the Continuity IRA in March this year after attending a call-out to a housing estate in Craigavon.

The 22-year-old suspect has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim Police Station on Thursday for questioning.

Three people have already been charged in connection with the murder.
