Un uomo, la cui casa è stata attaccata con bombe di vernice, ha detto a Utv di pensare di lasciare la zona
Adu Kyeremateng, 65 anni del Ghana, vive in Irlanda del Nord da otto anni.
Nella notte tra sabato e domenica qualcuno ha lanciato della vernice contro l’ingresso e la finestra principale della sua casa, situata in Upper Townsend Terrace a West Belfast.
La polizia sta trattando l’accaduto come un crimine d’odio.
Kyeremateng ha detto a Utv di non sapere il motivo dell’attacco ma adesso si sta preparando a lasciare la zona, perché non si sente più sicuro.
Ha affermato: “Mi sento davvero male – sono scioccato. Mi sento minacciato e voglio andarmene.
“Non posso andare avanti così. Non ho fatto nulla a nessuno e non sono in conflitto con nessuno. Ho il diritto di vivere in pace senza sentirmi minacciato. Da domani, quindi, andrò a vedere delle case in cui andare a vivere. Non voglio rischi”.
La polizia conferma che l’attacco con vernice è avvenuto tra le 22 e le 8 del mattino di domenica.
La PSNI chiedere a chiunque abbia informazioni di contattare la più vicina stazione di polizia.

Man plans to move out after ‘hate attack’
A man whose Belfast home was targeted in a paint attack has told UTV he’s now making plans to move out of the area.
Adu Kyeremateng, who’s 65 and originally from Ghana, has lived in Northern Ireland for eight years.
Overnight on Saturday, paint was thrown over the front window and door of his house in the Upper Townsend Terrace area of west Belfast.
Police said it’s being treated as a hate crime.
Mr Kyeremateng told UTV he doesn’t know why he was attacked but said he is now preparing to leave the area, because he no longer feels safe.
He said: “I feel really bad – I feel shocked, I feel threatened and I want to get out.
“I can’t go on like that. I haven’t done anything to anybody and I don’t have conflict with anybody. I have a right to live in peace without being threatened by anybody so I’m going to see houses I could live in tomorrow. I just don’t want to risk it.”
Police said the criminal damage was carried out sometime between 10pm and 8am.
Detectives have appealed for anyone with further information, or who may have witnessed what happened, to get in contact with the PSNI.
