Attacco settario a Coleraine. Tre feriti

Una donna e due uomini sono stati feriti in quello che la polizia ritiene un attacco settario

Alcune persone hanno assalito le tre persone a Killowen Street poco prima delle 23 di venerdì sera.

Uno degli uomini feriti ha ricevuto un taglio in testo e l’altro è stato ferito al volto. La donna è rimasta in stato di shock, con lividi e dolore alla schiena.

Gli assalitori sarebbero quindi fuggiti verso Pates Lane.

Un portavoce della polizia ha riferito: “La polizia continua a lavorare strettamente con la comunità in questa zona della città e può assicurare i residenti che l’aggressione, che viene trattata come un crimine settario, sta venendo attivamente indagata”.

Three injured in Coleraine “sectarian hate crime”

A woman and two men have been injured in what police are treating as a sectarian hate crime in Coleraine.

A number of people carried out the assault at Killowen Street shortly before 11pm on Friday night.

One of the injured men suffered a cut to his head and the other received cuts and bruising to his face. The woman suffered shock, bruising and a sore back.

It is understood the culprits made off in the direction of Pates Lane.

A police spokesman said: “Police continue to work closely with the community in this part of the town and can reassure local residents that the assault, which is being treated as a sectarian hate crime, is being actively investigated.”

Officers have also appealed for witnesses to contact them.
