La polizia chiede informazioni ai residenti dopo che il parabrezza di una macchina in servizio è stato infranto
Il veicolo della PSNI stava uscendo da Pinewood Avenue a Carrickfergus intorno alle 2 di lunedì mattina, quando un uomo vestito con abiti scuri ed a volto coperto è uscito da un vicolo e ha lanciato un mattone contro la vettura.
Il mattone ha colpito in pieno il parabrezza dalla parte del guidatore, infrangendolo.
L’uomo è quindi fuggito a piedi.
Due agenti PSNI presenti nella vettura sono rimasti scioccati ma non hanno riportato ferite.
Un portavoce della PSNI ha detto: “Questo attacco significa che una vettura di pattuglia della polizia sarà fuori servizio mentre svolgeremo le riparazioni. Il responsabile deve essere individuato e consegnato alla giustizia”.

Police car attacked in Carrickfergus
Officers are appealing for information after the windscreen of a patrol car was smashed during an attack in Carrickfergus.
The police vehicle was exiting Pinewood Avenue in the town at around 2am on Monday, when a male dressed in a dark hooded jacket with his face covered emerged from an alleyway and threw a brick at the car.
The brick struck the windscreen in front of the driver, smashing it.
The man escaped on foot, in the direction of the alleyway.
Two officers in the car were left shaken but were physically unharmed.
A spokesman for the PSNI said, “This attack means that the patrol vehicle will be out of circulation while repairs are carried out. The person responsible needs to be identified and brought to justice. Anyone with information can contact police on 101.”
