Una croce di legno è stata posizionata accanto al graffito anti-cattolico a Belfast
Il messaggio settario, scarabocchiato su un muro in Donegall Road, Belfast, dice “Taigs, ecco cosa vi aspetta, VTOT”.
Taig è il termine dispregiativo utilizzato dai lealisti per indicare i cattolici.
La croce e il graffito sono comparsi vicini al luogo in cui è stata scritta la minaccia di “crocifiggere i cattolici”, pubblicata lunedì sui social network.
Quell’immagine, scattata vicino alla rotonda di Broadway e al Royal Victoria Hospital, viene ancora analizzata dalla PSNI, che si appella alla popolazione per qualsiasi informazione.
Entrambi i messaggi sono firmati “VTOT” che, secondo la polizia, vuole dire “Village Team On Tour”, in riferimento al gruppo di paramilitari del quartiere ultra lealista di Village a South Belfast.
Nel frattempo, tutte le bandiere naziste e confederate erette a Carrickfergus sono state tolte.
Wooden cross erected near ‘crucify Catholics’ graffiti in Belfast
A wooden cross has been erected next to anti-Catholic graffiti in Belfast.
The sectarian message, scrawled on a wall on the Donegall Road, reads ‘Taigs will be dealt with, VTOT’.
It is close to where an armed gang posed next to ‘crucify Catholics’ graffiti, that was circulated on social media on Monday.
That chilling image, taken close to the Broadway roundabout and Royal Victoria Hospital, is currently being investigated by the PSNI. They have appealed to the public for information.
Both messages are ‘signed’ ‘VTOT’ which is believed to stand for ‘Village Team On Tour’, in reference to a gang based in the staunchly loyalist area of south Belfast.
Meanwhile Nazi flags, erected alongside Confederate and paramilitary flags near a loyalist bonfire in Carrickfergus, have been taken down.
East Antrim DUP MP Sammy Wilson has welcomed the removal of the Nazi flags.
