Man arrested in Bloody Sunday investigation
A man has been arrested by police as part of the Bloody Sunday investigation.
The 66-year-old was detained in Co Antrim on Tuesday and has been taken to a PSNI station in Belfast for questioning.
Police said the arrest was made by detectives from the Legacy Investigation Branch investigating the events of Bloody Sunday in Londonderry in 1972.
The officer leading the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Ian Harrison, said it “marked a new phase in the overall investigation which would continue for some time”.

It’s almost three years since the PSNI announced there would be a murder inquiry into the Bloody Sunday shootings.
British troops opened fire on a civil rights march through Derry’s Bogside area, killing 13 people.
The murder inquiry into Bloody Sunday is currently the biggest investigation undertaken by the PSNI.
It follows on from Lord Saville’s public inquiry, which lasted a decade before finding that all those shot dead on Bloody Sunday had been killed without justification.
The police, though, have faced criticism for taking so long to carry out interviews..
