Boss UVF diventa “informatore”

Crescenti speculazioni dicono che un importante membro della UVF sta collaborando con la polizia e sta diventando un supergrass (informatore) contro gli ex colleghi del gruppo paramilitare lealista

Si è appreso che l’uomo sarebbe un ex brigadiere – comandante di una brigata – del gruppo.

Sarebbe il membro dell’Ulster Volunteer Force di più alto grado a fornire testimonianza contro gli ex colleghi lealisti.

Fonti lealiste dicono che l’uomo abbia accettato di collaborare con la PSNI facendo i nomi degli uomini UVF che avrebbero compiuto alcuni dei più conosciuti omicidi dei Troubles a North Belfast.

Comprendono alcuni omicidi compiuti dal gruppo UVF di Mount Vernon, guidato da Mark Haddock.

Il boss UVF sarebbe tenuto in isolamento nella prigione di Maghaberry.

I lealisti si starebbero preparando ad una nuova ondata di arresti. Non è chiaro se si avranno arresti tra la dirigenza UVF di Shankill Road.

UVF boss ‘to turn supergrass’

There is growing speculation that a leading member of the UVF is co-operating with police and is to turn supergrass against former colleagues in the loyalist terror group.

It is understood the man is a former so-called brigadier in the terror group.

He will become the highest ever UVF man to give evidence against his former colleagues.

Loyalist sources say the man has agreed to co-operate with the PSNI by naming UVF men who carried out some of the most notorious murders of the Troubles in north Belfast.

They include a spate of murders carried out by the Mount Vernon UVF led by Mark Haddock.

It is reported he is being held in solitary confinement at Maghaberry Prison near Lisburn.

Loyalists are said to be bracing themselves for a new spate of arrests. It is unclear if the arrests will take in the Shankill Road-based leadership of the UVF.
