Un uomo di 27 anni è stato accusato di possesso di un’arma offensiva e un altro, di 20 anni, è stato arrestato per disordini.
IL ventisettenne comparirà in tribunale il prossimo 21 gennaio.
Il Soprintendente della PSNI John McCaughan si è appellato ai residenti nelle comunità di mantenere la calma.
“Le tensioni si sono accentuate, ma chiediamo alla gente di fare un passo indietro e considerare le varie implicazioni provocate da un comportamento criminale” ha affermato.
“La polizia manterrà una presenza visibile per le strade di South e East Belfast nel periodo festivo, al fine di contribuire a mantenere la sicurezza per i residenti e le comunità”.

Windows broken in east Belfast houses
About 15 people attacked a number of houses in east Belfast in the early hours of Friday morning.
They said there was then a “confrontation” between residents and the attackers.
A 27-year-old man has been charged for possessing an offensive weapon and a man, 20, was arrested for rioting.
The 27-year-old is due to appear in court in 21 January.
PSNI Supt John McCaughan appealed to residents in communities to remain calm.
“Tensions are heightened; however, we would ask that people take a step back and consider the wider implications of engaging in any criminal behaviour,” he said.
“Police will have a visible presence on the streets of south and east Belfast over the festive period in order to help keep residents and communities safe.”
