Gli artificieri dell’esercito britannico sono presenti sulla scena.
La gente è stata lasciata “preoccupata e frustrata” dall’incidente, secondo quanto affermato dal rappresentante SDLP per Lower Falls Colon Keenan.
“Molti residenti si sentono consuni, spaventati e frustrati, e sono stati allontanati dai loro impegni quotidiani”, prosegue Keenan.
“I bambini non sono potuti andare a scuola in tempo e il tragitto della gente verso il posto di lavoro è stato bloccato. I frequenti disagi vissuti dalla gente di Lower Falls a causa delle attività terroriste è estremamente preoccupante e la gente è veramente stufa di tutto ciò”.
La PSNI chiede informazioni a chiunque sia stato testimone dell’incidente.

Homes evacuated in city alert
A number of homes have been evacuated amid a security alert in west Belfast.
Army bomb experts are at the scene.
Local people have been left “worried and frustrated” by the incident, SDLP Lower Falls representative Colin Keenan said.
“Many residents are feeling confused, frightened and frustrated, and have been curtailed from going about their day’s business,” Mr Keenan said.
“Children have been unable to get to school in time and people’s journeys to work have been held up. The frequent disruption to people’s lives in Lower Falls due to terrorist activity is extremely concerning and people are really fed up to the back teeth with it.”
