Cessato allarme sicurezza a Lurgan

Un finto ordigno ma molto elaborato. Ecco cosa ha provocato l’allarme a Lurgan

Gli agenti della PSNI erano chiamati ad investigare sull’abbandono di un oggetto sospetto in Cornakinnegar Road nella cittadina della Contea di Armagh.

L’inizio dell’allarme è avvenuto alle 8 di martedì mattina.

Dolores Kelly, parlamentare SDLP, ha riferito che alcune studentesse le hanno comunicato di aver visto un oggetto sospetto.

“Era di fronte alla St. Michael’s Grammar School, all’ingresso della casa delle suore della Provvidenza”, ha affermato.

“Le ragazze hanno parlato di due bombole con attaccati dei fili”.

L’allarme sicurezza è il terzo scattato questa settimana a Lurgan. Anche gli incidenti precedenti, in Lough Road e in Lake Street, si sono rivelati essere elaborati ordigni.

Security alert ends in Co. Armagh

A security alert in Lurgan, Co. Armagh has been declared an elaborate hoax.

Police officers were called to investigate reports that a suspicious object had been left at Cornakinnegar Road in the town.

The incident began around 8am on Tuesday morning.

SDLP Upper Bann MLA Dolores Kelly said schoolgirls reported a suspicious device to her.

“It was opposite St Michael’s Grammar School at the entrance to the Providence nuns’ home, ” she said.”

“The girls described it as two canisters with wires attached.”

It follows two separate security alerts in Lurgan last week. The incidents at Lough Road on Tuesday and at Lake Street on Wednesday were later declared elaborate hoaxes.
