Cinque arresti nella Contea di Louth durante indagine su attività repubblicana

La polizia irlandese ha arrestato cinque uomini mentre eseguiva indagini sull’attività repubblicana nella Contea di Louth

La Garda ha trovato una pistola ed un passamontagna in una macchina fermata in Ecco Road a Dundalk intorno alle 11:25 di domenica. Due uomini, di circa 25 e 35 ani, sono stati arrestati.

Dieci minuti dopo una vettura è stata fermata a circa 12 miglia da Ardee. All’interno la Garda ha recuperato delle munizioni ed un passamontagna.

A bordo dell’automobile tre persone, di età compresa tra i 30 ed i 55 anni, che sono state arrestate.

Tutti i fermi sono stati compiuti dall’Emergency Response Unit della polizia irlandese.

Five arrests in County Louth dissident inquiry

Irish police investigating dissident republican activity have arrested five men in County Louth.

A gun and a balaclava were found by gardai who stopped a car on Ecco Road in Dundalk at about 1125 BST on Sunday. Two men, aged in their mid-20s and mid-30s, were arrested.

Ten minutes later, a car was stopped about 12 miles away in Ardee. Ammunition and a balaclava were found.

Three men, whose ages range between their early-30s and mid-50s, were arrested.

All the arrests were made by armed officers from the Garda’s Emergency Response Unit.
