I POW di Maghaberry allineati al RNU POW Department (Dipartimento dei prigionieri di guerra del RNU) stanno sollevando preoccupazioni sulla lentezza nell’implementazione dell’accordo del 12 agosto 2010.
Il POW Department del Republican Network for Unity è in contatto con alcune agenzie e continuerà a fare questo fino alla completa implementazione degli accordi. I prigionieri di guerra hanno dato al “Prison forum” l’opportunità di lavorare e hanno concesso ai Facilitatori all’esterno il tempo e lo spazio necessario per cercare di usare la propria influenza positiva, purtroppo questo tempo è stato sprecato da alcune sezioni del NIPS (Northern Ireland Prison Service), che sembra usare la presunta divisione nell’ala repubblicano come un aiuto per tenere in stallo l’accordo.
I prigionieri di guerra ci hanno informato che non permetteranno il proseguimento di questa operazione… I POW credono che la posizione presa e che continueranno a tenere sia quella giusta e pensano che non tutto sia perduto. I prigionieri repubblicani e il RNU POW Department chiedono la piena attuazione dell’accordo e la fine degli strip search nella prigione di Maghaberry…
I prigionieri di guerra la scorsa settimana hanno deciso di rifiutare formalmente la perquisizione entrando ed uscendo dal carcere, chiedono ll’installazione della “boss-chair” che permette una ricerca umana e dignitosa senza compromettere la sicurezza carceraria nella zona di ricevimento, come concordato nell’accordo di agosto!!
Statement from RNU Aligned POWs’ in Maghaberry Gaol
POWs in Maghaberry aligned to the RNU POW Department have been raising concerns about the slow implementation of the 12th August (2010) agreement in the background for some time now.
RNU’s POW Department were in contact with a number of agencies and will continue to do so in regard to the agreements full implantation. The POWs allowed the “Prison forum” an opportunity to work and allowed the Facilitators on the outside the time and space necessary to try and use their positive influence also, sadly this time was wasted by sections of the NIPS who it seems are determined to use the perceived-division on the Republican wing as a means of stalling the agreement.
The POWs informed us that they wouldn’t allow that continue…They believe that the stance they took and continue to take is the correct one and believe that all isn’t lost. The Republican Prisoners and the RNU POW Department call for the FULL implementation of the agreement and an end to strip-searches in Maghaberry Prison…
The POWs’ took a decision last week to formally refuse the strip-search entering and leaving the prison, they are asking for the installment of the “boss-chair” which can offer a humane and dignified search without compromising prison security in the reception area immediately as agreed in the August deal!!
