Comunicato di Independent International Commission on Decommissioning su disarmo UDA

L’IICD conferma che, dopo aver cominciato il processo di decommissioning con l’Ulster Defence Association lo scorso giugno, abbiamo adesso condotto un’azione molto vasta di smantellamento in cui le armi, le munizioni, gli esplosivi e gli ordigni esplosivi appartenenti all’Ulster Defence Association sono stati distrutti entro i termini del nostro mandato.

La dirigenza dell’Ulster Defence Association ci ha informato che tali armamenti costituiscono la totalità delle armi sotto il loro controllo.

L’IICD ricorda alle organizzazioni paramilitari che ancora possiedono armi, che abbiamo tempo fino al 9 febbraio di quest’anno per completare il nostro mandato e chiediamo loro di contattarci urgentemente.

THE IICD confirms that, having started the decommissioning process with the Ulster Defence Association last June, we have now conducted a major act of decommissioning in which arms, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices belonging to the Ulster Defence Association have been destroyed within the terms of our mandate.
The leadership of the Ulster Defence Association has informed us that these armaments constitute the totality of those under their control.

The IICD reminds paramilitary organizations which may still have arms in their possession that we have until the 9th of February this year to complete our mandate and we urge them to contact us soon to that effect.
