Un nuovo gruppo chiamato Bloody Sunday March Committee ha annunciato i dettagli per una serie di eventi che segneranno il 41° anniversario del massacro avvenuto nel Bogside a Derry.
La marcia, evento principale della commemorazione, avrà luogo domenica 27 gennaio 2013.
Una delle organizzatrici degli eventi – il cui tema è “Terminare l’Impunità” – è Kate Nash, il cui fratello William fu tra le vittime della domenica di sangue.
In conferenza stampa ha affermato che intende continuare a marciare fino a quando i responsabili degli omicidi non saranno portati davanti alla giustizia.
Ha anche mandato un messaggio agli altri parenti delle vittime che ritengono sia giunto il momento di far terminare la commemorazione.
“Avete il diritto di esprimere la vostra opinione”, spiega la Nash. “È un vostro diritto democratico non marciare. Però, io ho il democratico diritto di continuare a marciare, e intendo farlo”.

‘Sunday’ relatives will ‘continue to march’
A new group called the Bloody Sunday March Committee today announced details of a series of events to mark the 41st anniversary of the Bogside shootings.
The main event is a march which will take place on Sunday, January 27, 2013.
One of the organisers of the weekend of events – the theme of which is “End Impunity” – is Kate Nash whose brother, William, was among those gunned down on Bloody Sunday.
She told this morning’s press conference that she intends to continue marching until those responsible for the murders are brought to justice.
She also had a message for those relatives who believe it is time to stop marching.
“You are entitled to your opinion,” she said. “It is your democratic right not to march. However, I also have a democratic right to continue marching and I intend to do so.”
