Continuity IRA ha affermato di aver sparato venerdì sera a due uomini a North Belfast
L’attacco è avvenuto in Etna Drive – ad Ardoyne – intorno alle 23.
Padre Gary Donegan, della chiesa di Holy Cross, dopo aver parlato con la famiglia di una vittima, ha affermato: “Sono pieni di shock e paura per questo. E sono molto preoccupati per la natura delle ferite del loro figlio”.
Il consigliere di Alliance Party per North Belfast, Billy Webb, ha espresso la propria repulsione per i ferimenti.
“Sono disgustato da chi ha sparato. Attacchi come questo non hanno posto nella nostra società, è una reliquia del passato. Questo atto non ha portato a nulla tranne causare dolore e offesa nella nostra comunità.
“Spero che questi giovani riescano a riprendersi alla svelta delle ferite. I miei pensieri sono con loro in questi momenti difficili”.

Continuity IRA claim Ardoyne shootings
The Continuity IRA claim they shot two men in north Belfast on Friday night.
It happened at Etna Drive – in the Ardoyne area – at around 11pm.
Father Gary Donegan, from Holy Cross Church in the area, who spoke to one of the victims’ family on Friday night, said: “It’s just the whole shock and fear of this. And they’re very upset at the nature of their son’s injuries.”
Alliance North Belfast representative, Cllr Billy Webb, has expressed his revulsion at the shooting.
“I am disgusted by the perpetrators of this shooting. Attacks like this have no place in our society, it is a relic of the past. This act has achieved nothing except to cause pain and hurt in our community
“I hope these young men are able to make a speedy recover from their injuries. My thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
