Il fermo giunge dopo un’operazione di perquisizione e arresti nelle contee di Louth, Waterford e Wexford avvenuta venerdì.
Dopo una perquisizione in una casa di Dunleer, Contea di Louth, sono state recuperate molte munizioni e un’arma da fuoco.
Sempre durante il corso di una di queste perquisizioni un’area è stata isolata a Keelogue, Barntown, Contea di Wexford, e sono stati trovati i componenti ritenuti parte di ordigni esplosivi.
Unità speciali della Gardaí sono stati aiutati da altri reparti delle Regioni Sud-Est e Nord.

Due agenti di polizia sono rimasti lievemente feriti mentre evacuavano la popolazione.

Tenth person arrested after bomb parts seized
A 24-year-old woman is the latest person to be arrested by Gardaí as part of an ongoing investigation into dissident republican activity.
It comes after a search and arrest operation in Counties Louth, Waterford and Wexford on Friday.
Following the search of a house in Dunleer, Co Louth a firearm and a quantity of ammunition were recovered.
Also during the course of one of the searches an area was sealed off in Keelogue, Barntown, Co Wexford and a number of items believed to be the component parts of explosive devices were recovered.
Gardaí from specialist units were assisted by local gardaí from the South Eastern and Northern Regions.

Two police officers were injured as they evacuated people away from a car bomb which exploded outside a bank in the city.
The device, placed in a green Vauxhall Corsa car, went off shortly after midnight on Tuesday morning at the front of the Da Vinci’s Hotel, close to the Ulster Bank on the Culmore Road.
Two months ago, a 200lb car bomb exploded outside a police station half a mile away in the city’s Strand Road. At the time, a group claiming to be from Óglaigh na hÉireann said they carried out the attack.
