Derry ancora “capitale” della disoccupazione

Derry resta ancora la città del Nord con il maggior numero di disoccupati, secondo quanto raccontano le ultime cifre pubblicate.

Le statistiche rilasciate dal Ministero delle Imprese, Commercio e Investimento hanno rivelato che 5.919 persone a Derry ricevono il sussidio di disoccupazione – in aumento di 44 unità rispetto al mese scorso.

L’attuale livello di disoccupazione a Derry (8,3% della forza lavoro) è il doppio rispetto a Castlereagh e a North Down e molto più elevato in confronto con Antrim.

Più dell’11% degli uomini e oltre il 4% delle donne in età lavorativa sono fuori dal lavoro in città – entrambi i dati sono i più alti di qualsiasi altro luogo in Irlanda del Nord.

Derry still north’s dole hotspot

Derry remains the north’s unemployment blackspot, according to the latest figures.

New figures released this week by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment reveal a total of 5,919 people are currently signing on in Derry – a rise of 44 on the previous month.

The current level of unemployment in Derry (8.3% of the workforce) is double that of Castlereagh and North Down and significantly higher than Antrim, Castlereagh, and North Down.

More than 11% of men of working age and over 4% of women are out of work in the city – both rates are higher than anywhere else in the north.
