Ad un giovane di 27 anni hanno sparato ad una gamba nella zona di Drumcliffe Avenue, nel quartiere repubblicano di Bogside, mercoledì sera.
Un poliziotto è svenuto dopo essere stato colpito alla testa da un sasso.
Il ferimento con armi da fuoco è solo l’ultimo di una serie di attacchi similari avvenuti a Derry negli ultimi mesi.
Il parlamentare Pat Ramsey ha condannato l’attacco.
“I perpetratori di questo attacco abusano dei diritti umani. Politicamente non hanno alcun mandato e la gente di Bogside è spaventata di quel violento attacco, eseguito a nome loro”.

Police attacked in Londonderry
A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg at Drumcliffe Avenue area of the Bogside on Wednesday night.
It is reported that a PSNI officer was knocked unconscious when hit on the head with a stone in the incident.
The shooting is the latest in a series of similar attacks in Londonderry over recent months.
Foyle MLA Pat Ramsey condemned the “vicious” attack.
He said: “The perpetrators of this attack are human rights abusers. Politically they have no mandate and the people of the Bogside will be horrified that another violent attack has been carried out in their name.”
