Republican Action Against Drugs (RAAD) ha riferito di aver ordinato a 10 persone di Derry di lasciare la zona immediatamente
In una dichiarazione, il gruppo ha fatto il nome degli individui e gli ha ordinato di lasciare Derry “con effetto immediato”. La mossa giunge al termine della cosiddetta “amnestia”, promulgata dal RAAD, per chiunque fosse coinvolto nello spaccio di droga. Tale amnestia è terminata martedì. Il RAAD ha affermato che 14 persone si sono recate presso di loro e hanno acconsentito a terminare il proprio coinvolgimento nello spaccio.
“Queste persone adesso sono libere di seguire tranquillamente le proprie vite senza paura” ha riferito il gruppo. Tuttavia, hanno anche inviato un raggelante avvertimento per chiunque continui a vendere droga.
“Un gran numero di venditori di morte hanno continuato e incontreranno un fatale destino” dice il comunicato del RAAD.
Il gruppo ha anche minacciato chi utilizza impropriamente il loro nome. “In seguito ad alcuni incidenti nella zona di Galliagh e Shantallow in cui sono state minacciate delle famiglie, vogliamo fa sapere che chiunque utilizzi o faccia riferimento al RAAD per commettere atti criminosi verrà trattato nella maniera più severa possibile”, ha affermato.
Il RAAD si anche assunto la responsabilità per aver piazzato due bombe la scorsa settimana, compresa quella presso un bar di Derry. “La prima operazione ha visto in nostri volontari lasciare un ordigno vicino ad una casa in Springhill Park, a Strabane, come avvertimento per il proprietario a cessare la sua attività legata alla droga. Nella seconda operazione, i volontari di Derry hanno piazzato un potente ordigno nel Celtic Bar. Non è riuscito ad esplodere ma dovrebbe essere preso come un serio avvertimento” prosegue il RAAD.
Il gruppo ha anche criticato la gestione dell’allarme bomba presso il bar Stanley’s Walk da parte della PSNI.
“Mentre il RAAD si prende la piena responsabilità per tutte queste azioni e dei loro risultati, sentiamo di dover criticare le autorità locali che sapevano tutto dell’ordigno fin dalle 2 del mattino ma non hanno voluto agire, ha cncluso il gruppo repubblicano.

RAAD order ten men out
Republican Action Against Drugs (RAAD) has said it has ordered ten Derry people to leave the north west immediately.
In a statement, the group named the individuals and ordered them to leave Derry “with immediate effect”. The move came as RAAD ended its so-called ‘amnesty’ for anyone involved in drug dealing to come forward to the organisation. It finished onTuesday. RAAD also claimed that 14 people have come forward to them and agreed to stop dealing in drugs.
“These people area now free to pursue their lives without fear,” the group said. However, they also issued a chilling warning to anyone still dealing drugs.
“A large number of death dealers have continued and will meet a deathly fate,” the RAAD statement said.
The group also threatened anyone caught falsely using its name. “Following a number of incidents in the Galliagh and Shantallow area which saw families being threatened we would like to state that anyone using RAAD or alluding to RAAD to commit criminal acts will be dealt with in the most severe manner possible,” it said.
RAAD also claimed responsibility for planting two bombs in the north west in the last week, including one in a Derry bar. “The first operation saw our volunteers place a device at a house in Springhill Park, Strabane as a warning to the owner to cease his drug activity. In the second operation, volunteers in Derry planted a powerful device in the Celtic Bar. This failed to deploy sucessfully but should be taken as a serious warning,” RAAD said.
The vigilante group also criticised the PSNI’s handling of the bomb alert in at the Stanley’s Walk bar.
“While RAAD take full responsibility for all its actions and their outcome, we feel we must censure local authorities who know all about the device from 2am but still failed to act,” the group claimed.
