Derry: oggetto sospetto sul parabrezza di una vettura

Un oggetto sospetto è stato trovato sul parabrezza di una vettura in Kinnego Park, nella zona di Foyle Springs

Gli artificieri dell’esercito britannico si sono recati sulla scena dell’allarme, lanciato intorno alle 7:45 di questa mattina.

La polizia riferisce di aver evacuato 18 abitazioni e di aver impedito l’accesso all’area.

Mark H Durkan, consigliere SDLP, ha detto che l’allarme ha causato molta angoscia nella comunità.

“Lasciare un ordigno sul parabrezza di un’auto, quando chiunque poteva passare a fianco e restare ferito, è un fatto estremamente sciagurato”, ha affermato.

“Non riesco proprio a comprendere ciò che si voleva ottenere”.

Suspect object found on car windscreen in Derry

A suspicious object has been found on a car windscreen at Kinnego Park in the Foyle Springs area of Londonderry.

Army bomb experts went to the area after the incident was reported at 0745 GMT this morning.

The police say 18 homes have been evacuated and the area has been cordoned off.

SDLP councillor, Mark H Durkan, said the alert had caused a great deal of angst in the community.

“To place a device on a car windscreen, where anybody could walk past and harm themselves is reckless in the extreme.” he said.

“Just what it’s supposed to achieve is beyond me.”
