La polizia è stata bersagliata con pietre dopo una commemorazione per la Rivolta di Pasqua a Derry
Anche dei ragazzini hanno attaccato i veicoli della PSNI dopo l’evento al City Cemetery organizzato dal 32 County Sovereignty Movement.
In un comunicato la polizia afferma: “Mentre l’evento è passato senza incidenti, è stato molto preoccupante vedere bambini, alcuni dimostravano meno di 10 anni, lanciare sassi contro i veicoli della polizia.
“È una triste accusa contro chi ha organizzato e ha assistito, che ha permesso che questo accadesse”.
Circa 300 persone hanno partecipato alla commemorazione di lunedì pomeriggio.
I poliziotti hanno mantenuto un basso profilo e inviato due avvertimenti verbali a chi stava prendendo parte alla processione illegale.
A differenza dei precedenti anni, non si è presentato alcun paramilitare a volto coperto a leggere un comunicato.
Non ci sono stati arresti, mentre la polizia annuncia ulteriori indagini.

Police attacked at Easter commemoration
Police have been pelted with stones during minor trouble at a dissident republican Easter commemoration in Londonderry.
Children – some believed to be as young as 10 – attacked PSNI vehicles after the 32 County Sovereignty Movement event took place at City Cemetery.
A statement from police said: “While the event passed off without incident it was extremely concerning to see children, some of whom looked to be under the age of ten, throwing stones at police vehicles.
“It is a sad indictment on those who organised and were in attendance that this was allowed to happen.”
Around 300 people attended the commemoration on Monday afternoon.
Officers maintained a low-key presence and issued two verbal warnings to those taking part in the illegal procession.
In previous years it has been addressed by masked dissident representatives, but there was no paramilitary statement this year.
There have been no reports of any arrests.
Police said they will be making further inquiries.
