Funeral held for drowned teen
The funeral for a 15 year old boy who drowned while running from police in Londonderry has taken place.
Kyle Bonnes died in the River Faughan after officers arrived to investigate noise and alcohol complaints from residents in the Drumahoe area on Wednesday evening.
His body was recovered by members of Foyle Search and Rescue but he died a short time later.
The Police Ombudsman’s Office is investigating the incident and has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Kyle was buried at Ballyoan Cemetery after a service at Glendermott Presbyterian at 2.30pm on Sunday.
